How I Use Brainspotting in Coaching
Brainspotting is one of the tools I may incorporate into coaching to support stress reduction, mindfulness, somatic awareness, self-awareness, and overall well-being.
NOT diagnosis/treatment → NOT psychotherapy.
Resource Spotting
We may identify a visual point that feels associated with a greater sense of grounding, calm, or internal resourcefulness.
Focused Somatic Awareness
While maintaining a comfortable visual focus, clients are invited to mindfully notice present-moment experiences such as breathing, bodily sensations, thoughts, and emotions without judgment.
Stress Reduction & Mindfulness
Brainspotting may be incorporated as a mindfulness-based coaching tool to help clients slow down, notice their internal experience, and develop greater awareness of their responses to everyday stress.
Performance & Personal Growth
Brainspotting may also be used within coaching to explore stress, internal obstacles, decision fatigue, confidence, and other factors that may interfere with personal or professional goals.
Important: Brainspotting at New England Coaching Services is provided within a coaching and wellness framework. It is not psychotherapy and is not used to diagnose or treat mental health disorders. Clients whose needs fall outside the scope of coaching may be referred to an appropriately licensed mental health or medical provider.
