Brainspotting-Informed Coaching

Brainspotting-Informed Coaching Online

A body-aware, mindfulness-based coaching approach that helps you explore emotional patterns, develop self-awareness, and move forward — from anywhere in the United States.

What Is Brainspotting-Informed Coaching?

Brainspotting-informed coaching draws on the principles of brainspotting — a focused, body-aware approach developed by Dr. David Grand — within a coaching framework. It combines focused visual attention, mindfulness, and somatic awareness to help you slow down, notice internal responses, and develop greater clarity and self-understanding.

This is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. It is a coaching approach designed for growth-oriented individuals who want to work more deeply with their inner experience.

How It Differs From Talk-Based Coaching

Traditional coaching often focuses on goals, strategies, and action steps. Brainspotting-informed coaching goes a layer deeper — working with what you notice in your body, your breath, and your moment-to-moment awareness. This can help surface insights that conversation alone doesn't always reach.

  • Works with body awareness, not just thoughts and words
  • Accesses deeper layers of emotional experience
  • Gentle, client-led, and conducted at your own pace
  • Supports lasting change, not just surface-level insight

What to Expect in a Session

01

Notice

We begin by identifying what you're feeling and where you sense it in your body. No need for the 'right' words.

02

Locate

Together we find a brainspot — an eye position that connects with the feeling or experience you're exploring.

03

Process

You hold your gaze there while your awareness does its natural work. I hold the space with you, without directing.

04

Integrate

We close with grounding and reflection, helping you settle and integrate whatever shifted during the session.

Who This Approach May Support

Brainspotting-informed coaching may be especially meaningful for individuals navigating stress, burnout, difficult transitions, relationship challenges, or a sense of being stuck — who are ready to explore their inner experience in a deeper way.

Coaching is not therapy and does not replace mental health treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please reach out to a licensed mental health clinician.
